The Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club has 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Donations go to the following four categories:

  1. General Funds: The Philadelphia Girls' Rowing Club has ongoing needs. We are proud of our state-of-the-art fleet, which needs to be maintained and turned over on a regular basis. Our members also receive the excellent training and coaching. We are self-governed and members maintain the building and all equipment.

  2. Preservation Campaign. Our Preservation Campaign, Shore Her Up, is dedicated to ensuring that our historic building remains in good quality.

  3. Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta: PGRC runs the annual Braxton Regatta on the second Sunday of November every year. Proceeds go toward two high school scholarships awarded each year. Please visit the Braxton website for more information on student scholarships.

  4. Annual Fund: The annual fund pays for general maintenance or necessities decided by the voting membership.
